We’re so excited to share our family with you! After considering adoption for a few years, we are thrilled to begin this journey.

Stephen is my favorite person in this world. He has a huge heart and will go out of his way to help others. Curious about the world around him, Stephen is always up for exploring new things. He is a loving and caring partner who works hard to make sure that his family and friends are healthy, happy, and cared for. I admire Stephen’s close relationship with his parents and nieces, and his passion for social justice and ensuring dignity for all people.

Rachel is a strong and loving person. She is direct about the things she wants and works hard to achieve her goals. She has a strong sense of right and wrong and a willingness to take a stand to make sure that people are always treated with respect. When someone needs help, Rachel is the first person to lend a hand.

We live for adventure and seek opportunities for fun and new experiences big and small, everywhere we go. We are so excited to explore life with a child, to see the world through their eyes, learn new things along with them, and guide them on their way as we live, laugh, and learn together.

When we bought our house in 2018, we immediately fell in love with its cottage charm and robust history. Only the second owners of this 100-year-old house, we quickly got work making it our own. We fixed it up ourselves, painting, refinishing floors, and most recently remodeling our kitchen by removing a wall to make it big enough for a family. We share our home with two black cats named Mowgli and Bagheera and Walter the dog. All three are rescues and they light up our lives on a daily basis, providing laughs and love.

Mowgli is the boss of the group, but all he really wants is love and attention (and snacks). The smartest of our animals, he loves a good challenge and knows how to sit and shake.
